Lowell Klock

"Small Things Observed:  Olson House, Cushing, Maine; Monet House, Giverny, France"

Lowell Snowdon Klock's intimate color photography is characterized by details, often of mundane objects, concentrating on texture, reflection, light and shadow, shape, and color relationships. A bedpost, a chair back, a door, a rock, a feather, a lace curtained window, and old wallpaper are just some examples.

May /June show--opening May 2 , 2008

Douglas Biklen

Scenes

Doug Biklen’s exhibit, Scenes, is composed of photographs of painted surfaces that evoke images in nature.  This is part of a series that he has been developing since 2003. Unlike much of his earlier work, Biklen’s Scenes exhibit presents created images of nature rather than actual photographs of nature.

July, August art show

July/August show--opening July 11 , 2008

Barbara Efchak

Hybrids

My recent work is reminiscent of botanical forms. While these forms are not intended to be flowers, I am borrowing suggestions from nature to create these pieces. My intent, when creating these pieces, is to keep the organic nature of the clay and the hand of the artist evident. In these works, my love of gardening and flowers has merged with my love of pottery.

Robin Kent

Life's Vignettes

Robin Kent uses a narrative form to depict the familiar, under appreciated and possibly unnoticed symbols of our collective unconscious . A successful piece might recall some past vignette- real or imagined. This identity gives each piece its humor or personality. Without that, it’s just acrylic on wood, assembled wood, or canvas.

September/October show---opening September 5 , 2008

Kathy Domenicucci

Spring Forcing

My inspiration comes from my everyday surroundings in this beautiful part of the country. My  paintings of landscapes, figures, still life and animals are rendered in a loose realistic style. Others describe my artwork as displaying spontaneity and freshness with a skillful control of light, strong composition and design.

Althea Bilodeau

Fabulous Fashions of Fiber Art

The garments and accessories that Althea Bilodeau creates are made from the fibers of the industrious silkworm’s cocoon and from the beloved sheep’s coat. Starting with the white fibers of each, she liberally adds color. You will also find natural colored wool, exotic fibers such as cashmere and angora, wool yarns (sometimes hand-woven first), and accent yarns felted into her pieces.
