A Closer Look: the Natural World, Translated.

Its so easy to miss what is down below, at our feet, on the skin of the earth where the support for our lives exists. Not mere dirt, but living soil, colonies of moss and lichen. Old leaves give way to new ones. Sprigs stretch towards a shaft of sunlight. Pods expel their seedy offspring and hope. The earth slowly swallows what she has made and offers it up anew.

With minute examination my pencil explores the ins and outs, the overs and unders of life at ground level; willing a revelation of essence. I am compelled to know what this life is so that I may translate the language of stick, stone and leaf. So that such revelation of natural wonder may motivate sponsorship for renewal and facilitate understanding through sensate experience of the world we live in.
